Sub Committees
LAMAS has four subcommittees to oversee much of the work. These include the Historic Buildings Conservation Committee, The Local History Committee, The Archaeology Committee, and The Publications Committee. New members are always welcome!
Local History Committee
The Local History Committee is a sub-committee of the governing LAMAS Council and is responsible for presenting concerns specific to Local History to the Council.

The LAMAS Historic Buildings and Conservation Committee (HBCC) reviews listed building consent and other planning applications that have an impact upon heritage assets.

The Archaeology Committee meets on average four times during the year, in January, April, July and October, and receives regular reports from organisations active in London archaeology.

Publications Committee
The Publications Committee (Chair John Schofield; Secretary Bruce Watson) produces the main publications of the Society: Transactions of the London & Middlesex Archaeological Society, our annual journal, and the LAMAS Newsletter, a newsletter for members which appears three times a year.
