Council and officers

LAMAS Council is made up of four Officers (President, Chair, Secretary and Treasurer) and between 12 and 14 ordinary members. Officers and members are all elected at the Society’s AGM in February, who meet 5 times a year to discuss and manage the affairs of the Society.

The LAMAS Working Party was set up in 2022 to work on specific issues and suggest policies to Council. It meets every couple of months. Recently discussed matters have been a policy for officers and committees to follow when Speaking Out in Public; and Equality,
