John Stow Special Lecture We are delighted to announce that Vanessa Harding, Professor of London History at Birkbeck, University of London will be delivering a special lecture, ‘John Stow’s Legacy’ online via Zoom on Monday 19th April 2021 at 6.30pm. The Stow Memorial Service, which was due to take place at St Andrew’s Undershaft in April 2020 was cancelled due to Covid-19. The next ceremony in the church will be held in 2023. Tickets for the lecture are vailable via Eventbite. |

September LAMAS Newsletter - Digital Issue Once again we have taken the decision to publish the Newsletter in digital format only as physically stuffing envelopes and posting out over 600 copies is still not possible. May LAMAS Newsletter - Digital Issue In normal times, we would have posted the May Newsletter to all Members towards the end of April. These are not normal times and, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it would have been very difficult to print and post this Newsletter. Council decided to publish the Newsletter digitally, and we have sent it to all our members in the e-mail list. Sadly, we do not have email addresses for all our members. LAMAS Research Fund LAMAS is offering a research fund of up to £5000 to assist society members undertake research projects that further our knowledge of London’s history and archaeology.
