A Guide to the 1911 Census for Local Historians

The workshop will be led by John Hanson, author of Getting the Best from the 1911 Census, and will consist of;
• An introduction exploring how the 1911 census differs from previous ones;
• Examples and exploration of on-line resources;
• Practical work on using the census for local history research.
The workshop is free to individual members of LAMAS. Members of societies affiliated to LAMAS are also welcome as an encouragement to their becoming individual members.
The number of places available is limited by access to the 16 computers in the e-learning suite, so early booking is essential by completing and returning the application form. Places will be given on a first come first served basis.
